Visit the first Beer fountain in the world. Located in Žalec city, the capital of the green gold valley, where the hoops are grwing from the 13th century. On this trip you will be able to have a tour in one of the local breweries with the tasting of craft beers. You can visit the Hop groowing museum in Žalec, where you can find all the tools from the 13th to 21st centruy, that were used in the proces of groowing and pickig hoops and lears all about the proces on how the beer is beeing made. And of course we will visit the First Beer fountain in the world, where you will be able to try 7 different sorts of beer, that are crafted in Slovenian breeweris.

This is an Open tour - meaning that there can also be other people on the same tour (not more than 8 per group)

Transportation vehicle for group up to 3 people will be a family friendly car, if more you will be transported by Van for up to 8 passengers.
Infants need to be seated in their own seats (they will be provided one if needed)

In case of a bad weather, we hold the right to cancel or adjust the program so that you will be able to have a better experience

We hold the right to change the plan of the tour (meaning that there is an option for us to switch between first and second attraction that we will visit etc...)

Itinerary can be adjusted due to weather conditions and client’s wishes.
Eco-Museum of Hop-Growing and Brewing Industry is closed on Mondays, Sundays and National Holidays.
Beer Fountain is closed from beginning of November until the end of March.

Day 1

DAY TRIP PLAN

Morning pick up in front of the hotel or a place of your choosing. Drive towards savinjska valley. We will make a Short stop at Trojane, where you will be able to try Slovenian most famous doughnuts and take a coffee. We continue towards Žalec. On our way we can stop at one of the local craft breweries, where we can make a short tour,on which you will be able to see how beer nowdays is made. Of curse we will also try their beers. Once we arrive to Žalec, you can visit the Eco-Museum of Hop-Growing and Brewing Industry, where you will get to know about, how they used to make beer, how hops grow and what tools did people use to make beer and pick hops, when there was no tehnology. There, you can also taste a unique beer, brewed from the local hops. Our final stop is just 100m away from the Eco musem. The one and only - first beer fountain in the world. If you like, you can buy your own beer mug, made by renowned designer Oskar Kogoj. With this mug you will be able to taste different Slovenian beers. We return to the hotel late in the afternoon/ early evening.
