Morning pick up at the hotel. Drive to the Gorenjska region that offers beautiful views of the Lakes of Bled and Bohinj and the peaks of the Julian Alps and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Our first stop will be at the Museum of Apiculture. The museum has attracted numerous visitors from all over the world since 1959, and presents three key themes that mark Slovenian bee-keeping: autonomous race of bees, world renowned bee-keepers and painted frontal boards of beehives. Afterwards we continue to Bled and Bohinj, famous for their gorgeous lakes, considered to be one of the top five attractions in Slovenia. We take a stroll on the banks of Lake Bled and walk up to the ancient Bled Castle. The castle houses a museum with printing workshop where the reconstructed Gutenberg’s wooden printing press is displayed. Its courtyard offers a majestic view of the lake and the surroundings. After the walk through Bled, we drive to Bohinj, a town located in the Bohinj basin, a 20km long and 5km wide area in the heart of the Julian Alps in the Triglav National Park. Its main feature is the preglacial Bohinj Lake. Time for picnic in beautiful nature. We offer you a choice of a half-hour hike uphill through the woods to the scenic Savica Waterfall or a cable car ride to Vogel that offer a beautiful view of the Lake and the Alps.
